1913- Rosa Louise McCauley was born in Tuskgee, Alabama.
1924- Enrolls in Montgomery industrial for girls.
1932- Marries Raymond Parks
1934- Recieves high school diploma
1943- Becomes sectetary of the Mongomery chapter of the NAACP
1944- Works at the Maxwell air force base.
1945- Registers to vote.
1955- Is arrested for refusing to give up her seat to a white man on December 1st ; Montgomery Bus Boycott begins.
1956- Montgomery Bus Boycott ends.
1957- Moves to Detroit, Michigain.
1965- Begins working for the representative Jhon Conyers, Jr. ; of Michigain
1977- Rosa Parks's husband Raymond Parks died.
1987- Establishes the Rosa and Raymond Parks institute for self devolpment.
1992- Publishes her first book , Rosa Parks: My Story, with Jim Haskins.
1999- Awarded the congessional gold medal of honor ; named by TIME magazine as one of the twenty most powerful and
influential figures of the century.
2005- Dies at 92 years old.
